From watching the video we can see genre characteristics from the bright background lighting. The bright colours of blue, orange and red give the video a vibrant and livley feel, which matches the livley fast paced song. We immidiatly can tell this band is portraying an indie music style by the clothes they are wearing. The gutars used are also recognised by the audience as commonly used instuments with indie bands.
There is a clear relationship between the music and visuals as the whole video shows the the band playing the song. This is to give the video a feel as if the the adience are watching it live. As the video is shown as a live performance it makes it simple but effective, and the audience is able to see the band for what they are. It focuses on the lead singer as he is the face of the band and his style of singing represents the style of the band, as well as his dress style.
