Opening sequence for music video - Inspirations

We have thought of the idea of introducing our band in the opening sequence with a silhouette effect. This means obscuring the identity of the band by just lighting the background behind them. This would create a sense of mystery and make the start of the video more interesting for the audience. It will be used when the band are just appearing on stage, when they start playing however the lighting will gradually be faded in revealing the identity of the band member. I first thought of this idea when watching a few performance videos on you tube which use the same effect, this made me think it would be great for using as an introduction within our project. This opening I feel if we were thinking of a unique selling point for our video this would be one of them. We may need to do some test shots however to ensure that we can achieve an effective shot when shooting the video

  2. Tom. This video is an excellent example of using silhouettes and performance. It also has some night time exterior shots which seems to be what Jake likes
